On March 20th, Okada Robin Shoko’s first idol DVD will be released. The title is Bikini Tocchaimashita! by Robin (ビキニとっちゃいましたbyロビン) and it will cost ¥3,990. Here is the cover:
A 48-page photobook to go along with this DVD will also be released, the title is Robin no Shouko (ロビンの証拠, Robin’s Proof) and it will be released six days later on March 26th for ¥2,940.
This preview makes it look like the most risque NGP photobook yet, which is a little disturbing considering Robin’s age. But that’s Japan for you, I guess…
On February 8th, Canary Club’s Ucchi (Uchida Yuma) announced her intention to graduate from NICE GIRL! Project in order to concentrate on her studies. She will graduate on the final NICE GIRL Project! Challenge Live concert on March 21st.
She wasn’t one of my favorite members, but I still liked her a lot and it’s sad to see yet another Canary Club member leave the group. Best of luck, Ucchi!
The NICE GIRL Project! cheerleading squad, Princess Chatters, will be releasing a DVD called NICE GIRL Project! Princess Chatters ~Micchaku Document 153 Hi~ (NICE GIRL プロジェクト!Princess Chatters~密着ドキュメント153日~, 153 Days Coverage Document). The description mentions that the DVD will cover the time between their first appearance at the NGP concert on August 22nd 2009, up until their performance at the USA (United Spirit Association) NOVICE CHAMPIONSHIP 2009. The DVD’s release date is February 28th, and will cost ¥3,990.
(There’s no mention of it on the official sites at this time, but I’m assuming it will only be available through the TNX Official Shop and events due to the short time between the announcement and the release date, as well as it having a Good Factory Record (GFV) catalog number. EDIT: I was correct. The DVD will be on sale at the Princess Chatters event on the same date, and as usual in the TNX Online Shop.)
The tracklist for the upcoming Gokujou! Mecha Mote Iinchou soundtrack, Mecha Mote Iinchou Mecha Hit Kyokushuu 1 (Extremely Fashionable Class President! Extreme Hit Song Collection 1), has been announced on the TNX official site. It’ll be released in a “Perfect Edition” (CD+DVD, QWCT-10042) and a Regular Edition (QWCT-10043) on March 3rd.
The first eight tracks are all the vocal songs released on singles so far, while the others are background music from the anime. (Note: I’m unsure of some of the title translations, so feel free to correct me)

UPDATE (Feb. 28): The application was removed from the iTunes Store on the 20th. Up-Front released a statement about the removal of both iSocks and Koharu Kusumi’s Sugar Doll app on the Hello! Project Official Site here.
In what I believe is a first for a H!P/NGP!/UFA artist, an iPod app for Ogawa Mana has been released on the iTunes store! The application is called iSocks and costs 230yen on the Japan store and $1.99 on both the Canadian and USA stores. According to the product description, the app contains “about 100 high quality pictures and the “Making of iSocks movie”. Click here to buy it (Link should direct you to your local iTunes store), or search for “iSocks” (There weren’t any results when I searched for Mana Ogawa or Ogawa Mana).
Here are the screenshots from the iTunes store product page (click to enlarge):
I don’t have an iPod touch (I want one even more because of this, actually XD), but it’s a really cool idea! I didn’t realize how many idol apps there were until now. Hope they expand this to more NGP (and H!P) artists as well.
The music video for Kitagami Mimi with MM Gakuen Gasshoubu – Genki ni Nare! has been released. The single comes out on January 20th.
THE Possible’s Robin will be releasing an image DVD on March 20. The description on JBOOK mentions it being shot in Cebu Island, and contains footage of her in a bikini, as well as bride, maid, and school uniform costumes. The DVD (LCDV-40413) will cost ¥3,990.
Niwa Mikiho aka Mikki of Canary Club will be starring in the upcoming Sentai (think Power Rangers) series Tensou Sentai Goseiger, which will start on February 14th. She will play the role of Mone/Goseiger Yellow. A short preview of the series recently aired and can be seen below.
There is a bit of information about the show on Wikipedia.
